Construction Law & Dispute Resolution
Following the legal issues that shape construction projects in Kenya.
Construction law brings together contract drafting, project administration, risk allocation and dispute resolution. My professional interest focuses on how clear construction contracts, payment and variation procedures, records, delay issues and well-designed dispute resolution clauses can reduce uncertainty before disagreements escalate.
I am particularly interested in the relationship between construction disputes and arbitration or other ADR mechanisms in Kenya, including the practical importance of notices, documentation, contractual timelines and the legal framework governing commercial disputes.
